BARACK OBAMA'S HISTORIC INAUGURATION
Hundreds of thousands of people filled the National Mall on January 20, 2009 to see Barack Obama take the oath of office and become our nation's 44th President.

LOCAL BANDS PERFORM IN PARADE
The 2009 Inaugural Parade was especially exciting for three local schools. The bands from Dunbar Senior High School, TC Williams High School, and Howard University were all selected to take part in the special event.
