Week of November 12th...

I want to ask you this week, are you using your voice?  And how?  What I mean is, are you using your life for its divine purpose and exercising your voice to make a change in the world?

As I was coming into work today, I stopped off to get my Starbucks, then I drove into work and walked towards the building, then got in the elevator and soon, was at my desk.  I thought about all the people I saw talking, using their voice and expelling air about so many things…many of which wouldn’t be of any consequence in a matter of hours or days.

So, think of the amount of time you’ve been on this Earth and think of the things you are doing with that time?  Are you going to work, barely making it to the gym and then crashing on the sofa before going to sleep?  Are you dealing with kids and partners?  Poring over bills or working until you’re just too tired to do anything but sleep?  It can seem like a retrace, but the thing is, you’re choosing to be part of it.

Back to the question.  Are you using your voice?  Why is this important?  I think it is important because when you began to listen and utilize your voice, it can take you to a place where you realize what the important things in life are, and beyond that, you can learn what things are important to you and how to use your voice to make a difference.  Think about the things you say today and the things you have said… how many of those things were just words.  Then think about how much more productive it would be if you were to use those words and that voice to create change.

A lot of people think that their lives are too full or too busy to add anymore responsibility.  On the other hand, although their lives are full, are they full-filled?  If your life is full of things that don’t matter, try to set aside some time to think about and write down what matters to you and don’t put it off for another day.  After assessing your life, you might find that a lot of what keeps you busy are things that keep you away from facing what it is that you are meant to give to the world.  You’re doing “busy work” to avoid your true destiny.

Please write to me with what you came up with and what your plan is for implementing what I call a “life wellness strategy” for improvement.  Until next time, God bless.  Please feel free to visit me at www.tigerlilyfoundation.org or www.maimahkarmo.com

Breast cancer changed the way I view my life and others in a very powerful way.  Instead of planning for what I could do tomorrow, I create today.  I live my life today as if there is no tomorrow. I’m creating all my dreams now!
