Lauryn Hill to play Bob Marley’s wife!

Rita Marley is executive producing the first-ever biopic of her late husband Bob Marley, with her daughter-in-law R&B singer Lauryn Hill set to portray her onscreen. Her stepson, Rohan, married  the Grammy winning former Fugees singer in 1996.
A big-screen version of her 2004 autobiography "No Woman No Cry: My Life With Bob Marley," will chronicle the musician's childhood, their tumultuous 15-year marriage, an assassination attempt on the couple, and his death from cancer in 1981.
The untitled project is tentatively set to begin filming early next year with a projected release date on what would be Marley's 65th birthday, February 6, 2010. 

NOTORIOUS B.I.G MOVIE TO BEGIN FILMING!

Jamal Woolard a Brooklyn native, like Biggie, has been named to play the lead role in the movie "Notorious." A movie based on the life and career of the slain rapper.

The film begins shooting later this month in New York City. Also in the cast are
Angela Bassett as Voletta Wallace, Biggie's mom, Derek Luke as
Puffy Combs and Anthony Mackie as Tupac Shakur.

Voletta Wallace says she's honored that so many people
turned out to audition for the role and that Jamal Woolard has the
personality, spirit, sense of humor and smile that ended up winning
her heart.

Beyonce Knowles Lands Two Upcoming Roles!

Fresh off her starring role in Dreamgirls, Beyonce is now set to play jazz and blues singer Etta James. In the movie “Cadillac Records”, Knowles will also executive produce the project along with her father/manager Matthew Knowles.

Beyonce Knowles will also join forces with Idris Elba in the movie “Obsessed”, a thriller that begins shooting this summer.   Elba will play an asset manager with a thriving career, and Knowles as his beautiful wife, when a temp office worker played by Ali Larter (NBC's "Heroes") begins stalking him.      
Elba last appeared in "American Gangster" and will next be seen in the upcoming movie "Prom Night”.
